Meet Zeke, a mischievous feline known for playing with gadgets at the Sarasota Cat Depot, allegedly knocked a phone receiver off its base and pawed on the the keys to make a call.
The three-year-old cat from Florida lived in an office at the Cat Depot and caused confusion by accidentally calling 911, while workers were on lunch break.
Sarasota County dispatchers picked up the call, but got no response.

Fearing there was a serious incident going down, they called up the front desk.
But they said they had no idea who made the emergency call. After looking around, the staff at the center later realized that little Zeke had been responsible for the alarm.

He was found, blissfully unaware, slumped across the phone — with the receiver off the hook.
Zeke had “a reputation” for walking across laptops and other gadgets. But maybe in this case, he must be feeling lonely and wishing for a forever home, decided to place a call to 911 to see if they could help.
