Ever Seen A Pallas Cat ?

6

The Pallas’s cat (Otocolobus manul), also named “manul”, is a tiny wild cat with a broad but fragmented distribution in the grasslands and steppes of Central Asia. It is negatively affected by habitat degradation, prey base decline, and also hunting, and for that reason has been classified as Near Threatened by IUCN since the year 2002.

The Pallas’s cat got his name after the German naturalist Peter Simon Pallas, who first described the wild cat in 1776 under the binomial Felis manul.

  1. Are they really stuffed Adam? If so as you say, so sad. How many are still in the wild. Do you know any more about this lovely cat. I will Google it and see what I can find.
