Is that something you would do ?
It sure is better then declawing but there are allot of people who are against the usage of it .
Are you one of them ? Comment below and give your opinion
If you love cats then you should accept them claws 'n' all….accept that they will claw furniture, accept that they will scratch walls…its what they do by the very fact of being a cat. If you just want a cute accessory then buy a toy one!
If the cat continuously claws the furniture even tho you've gotten on to him time after time then I agree with using it but if you doing it cause it "looks pretty" then that's wrong.
I'm not against soft claws for indoor only cats because it provides an alternative to declawing for individuals with bleeding disorders or compromised immune systems who want to adopt a cat.
I actually use soft-claws on my cat. They are simply glue-on claw covers, that slip easily over the cat's natural claw. The glue is NONTOXIC to animals, even if directly ingested. The claw caps need to be replaced every 4/6 weeks, as they will naturally begin to fall off with the growth of the cats claws. I've had no problem with my cat being able to flex her claws. She even still claws at things when wearing them. She doesn't seem to notice they are even there. She stretches and flexes her paws as usual, with or without the claw caps. I feel like this is a SAFE and MUCH more humane option to declawing a cat, especially if it becomes a necessity.
I wouldn't. My cats get a smacked bottom and a telling off (caught in the act) if they claw the furniture or walls – they have several scratching posts, and lots of trees to scratch. Having said that, is not a big problem, would never declaw them either they go outside and need their claws for self defence
They are hideous!!! If you don't like the fact a catat demonstrate natural behaviour like clawing or flexing their claws then you shouldn't have a bloody cat in the first place!! As for declawing cats…it's disgusting!!! It's painful for the cat and the claws can actually grow back under the skin causing pain and discomfort! It's like me ripping your finger nails off. Should be banned!!!
I remember reading somewhere that things like this are actually bad for cats…something about their claws constantly being out isn't good for them. I don't remember exactly.
Anyone ever heard of NAIL CLIPPERS. DeClawing is barbaric to the extreme. Cats have claws for a reason…Glue on covers..what the hell.. Get a good descent scratching post put catnip on it & clip there claws on a regular basis. I totally agree with Sharyn.
How would they be able to climb trees sometimes for their own safety? climb fences etc? mine are all outdoor cats they wouldn't be able to survive with these. Good idea for an indoor cat
Anyone who says cays shouldn’t be let outside should be imprisoned for the rest of their life to see how they like it. Cats ARE OUTDOOR animals that like to explore and hunt other animals. Clearly you know nothing about cats. If someone feels they need to keep them inside they shouldn’t get a cat! An indoor cat isn’t a real cat because real cats climb fences and trees and chase mice and birds.
This is just plain stupid, if you are bothered about getting scratched …DONT get a cat! Simple, why should we be aloud to mess with nature? You wouldn't get a snake and the replace its fangs with plastic ones cause you are afraid of getting bitten. If you are thinking but my cat isn't bothered….sorry Mr Dooditle how do you know? How can they scratch themselves correctly? Or stick up for themselves in the big bad world with some crappy plastic claws?….
Emily Haworth-wood I agree with you…I wouldn't dream of NOT letting my cat go outside? Every cat I've ever had has been able to go outside through a cat door…This is why declawing is so prevalent in the U.S.,people care more about their furniture than their feline family member. 🙁
I don't agree with the claw covers, their nails should be left as they are. They will reduce the size of their nails on their own using a scratch post or tree outside.

I have had multiple cats at multiple times and letting cats outside puts them in a very vulnerable state. All my "kids" have no problem being inside but I will say I have a pretty big house they all run and exercise daily
These are just another money making gimmick for people to dress up their pets 🙁 I can new understand why people feel the need to do this sort of thing. I've had 4 cats all indoor cats and I provide scratching post and various rooms around the house and I trim all their claws regularly and they're prefectly happy cats ( my eldest is 18 ) if poeple insist on wanting to dress something up then get a doll !!!
Jae Price I'm not against keeping cats indoors, but I am against declawing…I adopted mine who had been abandoned by someone and he was already an outdoor cat. He is fixed and micro chipped now….it's funny, even though he has a cat door, he spends about 20 hours out of his day inside. 🙂 Fortunately, none of the cats I've had have been harmed by being allowed outside.
i have 2 rescue cats, male, that grew up on the streets and get aggresive sometimes around the grand kids, if there was a temporary glue that lasted only hours, i might try using this on them when the grand kids are here…at least on the oldest cat, the younger can still go outside

Sorry I let our cats be well cats… its always bizarre to me this need to go to the extreme of surgical removing something for our convenience. U Never hear of declawing a dog! Why would you take a beautiful creature and cut part of its toes off? Get a fish if you dont like how a cat is….
The only problem I know of is they can sometimes get stuck on stuff and possibly cause the cat to freak out and pull out a claw, or break it off. Which is painful for the cat. I just clip the nails once a week and my furniture looks fine no scratches. Plus I have plenty of upright scratching posts for them to scratch on.
The soft paws don't impact the cats ability to track an retract their claws I fact it doesn't impact their need to scratch etc. it is a resin that makes them dull. All of you who say it is cruel, do you cut/trim you cats nails? In the wild the is no clippers.
I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE my cat.! He is not an accessory or decoration. I would "NEVAH" declaw him. But he has my arm looking like Frankenstein and now he's starting on my legs. Even though he's had all of his shots for this year and I show him unconditional LOVE, I am tired of wearing long sleeves and pants. Tried to clip his nails and I thought he was going to murder me for just attempting. Besides him having psychological problems, I'd like to try these as an alternative. Those who have tried them seem to be impressed. Is there anyone who have tried these and it did not work out? Please share, "Vinniee", is at the end of his perverbial 'rope'. LOL
Diane Jackson Cortese It isn't good for them or the environment. You're saying you don't care about your cat's well-being or the well-being of other animals. Fleas, ticks, disease, cars, letting them out is putting them in great danger.

people who don't like claws should NEVER have or get a cat. Rhianna Brinkman are doing a fashion statement or what. Buy a scratching post or two or three and place them where the cat scratches.
I have scratching posts all over & they still tear up my carpets & whatever else they can destroy….I can't take it anymore…oh & the vomit everyday that one of the three does!!!!
I tried them once and my baby boy was so opposed to them he ended up tearing it off along with half of his real claw. I felt so guilty and awful. Never again.
Emily Haworth-wood and a lot of them are run over. In a month, 3 cats just in my area have been killed. I witnessed one happen right in front of me. They didn't even stop. I stayed with it as it painfully died within a few minutes. Took it to the vets, was not even chipped or wearing a colloar. Shows how much they treasured their cat
Palma LoBiondo DiGerolamo sorry you are having troubles with the felines. Mine run the house mostly. I know that two of them love the old log I brought in as a scratching post.

I know what the pros would be……What are the cons?
Cruel it's natural for a cat to flex its claws
Dont know alot about them but would have to have a cat that NEVER could go outside.

Do they just slip over the nails or what? How do they work?
They have to be glued on and replaced periodically – if you can get the cat to put up with them.

Has anyone had any problems with the cats ingesting or swallowing the claws themselves? Could they pose a choking hazard?

You shouldn't let your cat outside anyway.
Looks like an idea!
Haha!
Kathy puts those on their cat… poor kitty !! but they do look cute!
I remember reading somewhere that things like this are actually bad for cats…something about their claws constantly being out isn't good for them. I don't remember exactly.
They do not hinder the cats' claws. They are still able to exercise their paws. They shed when their claws shed, too.

Absolutely agree – cats should keep their claws. If you're not prepared for a bit of furniture being scratched don't get a cat!!
Ours would go mental! Sure there are dangers but I would never dream of shutting them indoors? Since mine were kittens they've desired to go outside
My cats would rip me to shreds if I tried to glue them on them??
I don't agree with the claw covers, their nails should be left as they are. They will reduce the size of their nails on their own using a scratch post or tree outside.

Raymond Gagne No problem
well here in the uk you generally let your cats out
Shouldn't be allowed to keep cats ! try doing it to yourself first & see how you like it!!

Its wrong to put caps on cats nails if they get outside they have no way to defend them

Where can you find these!?
Morgan bought these for the kitties, was cute!
I want to get these for mine. I just don't know where to get them. Wonder if you can find these at WalMart?
If you're going to declaw your cat or consider these soft claws, then don't have a cat. You don't deserve it.
QUe puto HORROR.

Declawing a cat is not just removing the claw, it's the removal of the knuckled too

Better than declawing I guess. But they look like a pain to put on.
then don't have cats!! SIMPLE! Get a teddy bear!
